About Techclan
Techclan Innovations builds products for the African market. Our current focus is Vebpac, a social marketing platform bringing together CreatorHub, WishPool, and Pluga, our affiliate programme. We're a small, fast-moving team, which means the person in this role will have real ownership of the role.
The role
You'll build Techclan's presence across social platforms end to end: strategy, calendar, copy, community, and reporting. This isn't a scheduling job. You'll shape how the brand sounds, decide what we say and when, and work directly with design and product to launch features in a way that lands.
What you'll do
Manage the content calendar across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads, and the blog, adapting tone and format per platform.
Write copy, captions, community posts, edit content with Canva or CapCut, and launch announcements.
Work with the designer/motion editor to brief and ship visual assets.
Grow and manage the community: replies, DMs, comments, creator relationships.
Plan and run campaigns around product launches and feature releases.
Track performance and report on what's working, with a weekly/monthly review of reach, engagement, and growth.
Keep an eye on the creator economy and competitor activity, and bring ideas back to the team
What we're looking for
2+ years running social media for a brand, product, or agency
A portfolio or set of accounts you've grown; show us your work.
Strong writing. This is the core of the job
Fluency in how African social platforms actually behave, not just international best practice
Comfortable with analytics and scheduling tools (AdSense, Meta Ads, Metricool, Later, Buffer, or similar).
Self-directed — you'll be setting the calendar, not receiving it
Nice to have
Experience with a creator-economy, marketplace, or fintech product
Basic design skills in Canva and Figma for quick turnarounds
Video editing for short-form
Paid social experience
